the oysterpod farming system:
A game changer

Traditional farming gear just doesn’t cut it for expanding the industry.

The OysterPod system is a robust, marine-grade aluminium cage designed to maximise farm efficiency in real oyster farming conditions and minimise environmental impact.

By keeping oysters well clear of the water’s surface during drying, the OysterPod delivers unmatched biofouling control, significantly reducing labour and energy requirements. Another key point of difference is the OysterPod’s exclusive leg design, the only system on the market that keeps oysters off the seabed. The leg height is customisable to suit individual farm conditions, improving performance across a range of sites.

The systems unique rope and anchoring system provide multiple redundancies to protect gear from extreme weather including flooding. Its submersible design also protects stock and equipment during severe weather, lowering the risk of capital loss.

We use virgin HDPE for floats and baskets to ensure durability, long service life and end-of-life recyclability. Baskets are available in sizes ranging from 6mm to 17mm, with a full spare parts range available to support long-term farm operations.

We are more than equipment suppliers. We work alongside farmers over the long term, supporting system selection, deployment and operation across the oyster growth cycle, and strengthening aquaculture communities for a sustainable future.

Custom designed Equipment

Every farming site is different. We design and manufacture tailored aquaculture equipment to suit specific site conditions, operational needs and research requirements.

Through our in-house design capability, we work with farmers and partners to adapt systems, develop custom components and support emerging aquaculture methods.

While our core focus is oysters, we also support other sectors, including seaweed farming, where fit-for-purpose equipment is critical.

Industry consulting, training and research

There is enormous opportunity in the new Blue Economy.

We work alongside farmers, communities, research institutions and organisations to support capability-building across the aquaculture sector.

Our support spans feasibility and site assessment, business and operational planning, regulatory and native title pathways, and funding readiness. This includes working with new entrants and First Nations organisations to build practical, long-term pathways into aquaculture.

Training and knowledge-sharing are delivered through our working on-farm hub at South Stradbroke Island, where learning is grounded in real conditions, active systems and hands-on experience.
